Combat Patrol: Tyranid Assault Brood
Because sometimes the galaxy is just one big all-you-can-eat buffet.
The Tyranids come in an alarming variety of shapes, sizes, and flavours of nightmare — each more upsetting than the last. Small vanguard swarms have been spotted led by a Parasite of Mortrex, a creature best described as “absolutely not safe for anyone.” Around it lumber heavily plated Tyrant Guard, mobile walls of chitin and muscle. Behind them, Biovores casually lob living ammunition across the battlefield like it’s the world’s worst fireworks display.
And then there are the Genestealers: fast, silent, and so filled with claws that most enemies don’t realise what’s happening until parts of them are no longer attached. Charming things.
If your goal is to consume every living organism in the galaxy (or just start a Tyranid army), this Combat Patrol is the ideal place to begin — and it saves you money over buying the kits individually. It contains a complete Assault Brood for fast-paced Combat Patrol games of Warhammer 40,000, led by the terrifying Parasite of Mortrex and supported by elite guard, artillery-organisms, and plenty of fast-moving bio-horrors.
Rules for this brood are available as a free download on the Warhammer Community site — apparently even the Hive Mind appreciates convenience.
This ravenous brood includes:
-
1× Parasite of Mortrex — airborne infection delivery specialist
-
3× Tyrant Guard (or Hive Guard, your choice)
-
1× Biovore (or Pyrovore, if you prefer more flame and less lobbed biomass)
-
3× Spore Mines — living explosives with enthusiasm
-
10× Genestealers — claws, more claws, even more claws
Total: 18 miniatures of evolutionary efficiency
