Warhammer 40,000 is Games Workshop’s gloriously bonkers sci-fi tabletop game, set in a far-future where absolutely everything is at war, all the time, usually for reasons that are both dramatic and poorly thought through. In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, ancient civilisations clash, sinister powers scheme, and someone is always shouting “FOR THE EMPEROR!” before doing something explosively heroic or catastrophically unwise.

Space Marines: The Emperor’s Overachievers
Space Marines are genetically engineered super-soldiers who make regular humans look like they’re built out of wet cardboard. They’re the elite war-angels of the Imperium, capable of purging planets, toppling tyrants, and generally solving problems by introducing them to high-velocity weaponry. A full Chapter of a thousand Marines can erase entire species; even a small strike force can overthrow a planetary government before breakfast.
